[ID+] DESIS Lab, Universidade de Aveiro,  Portugal is now halfway through the project Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships – Strategy for Change – the main objective of the project is to establish a formalised transnational training programme to prepare students for carrying out effective social innovation projects in the local community. As such, it offers an experience that is complementary to students’ regular classes but effectively teaches them a range of transversal skills for applying social innovation more effectively. A major part of the programme will be specifically designed to make the students more socially entrepreneurial, allowing them to implement projects within the community that are effective and sustainable, and ensuring that they are more active in civil society. This project has a partnership with two DESIS lab in consortium ([ID+] DESIS Lab – Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal) and TU/e DESIS Lab – Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands)) among the other international partners: GCU – Glasgow Caledonian University, GCU Students’ Association (United Kingdom), Dublin City University, DCU Office of Student Life (Ireland) and Interactive Institute Swedish (Sweden).
