Open from 30 March to 18 April 2021
Folie N°6, Parc de la Villette
The ExpoAction “Infinite Creativity for a Finite World aims to highlight the unique capacity of design to actively engage in the co-construction of a desirable future and to research, reveal and highlight modest and sober practices whose resilience has been proven over time.
The ExpoAction invites you to dive into a plurality of Actions in progress carried out by a new generation of designers committed in the long term development of collective creative projects revealing the power of social bonds.
Starting from socially, politically and economically vulnerable, complex and conflicting situations, Expo Action shows the capacity of co-design to direct the infinite creativity of each individual towards more responsible, concrete and restorative Actions that respect the fragility of the human being, the living and the finiteness of the planet by building a more sustainable relationship to the others, to time and space, to the environment and, more generally, to the world.
It may seem almost anachronistic and absurd to have dared an exhibition based on the principle of Action in a world paralysed by the health crisis, by the very Action of a microscopic organism. Yet it is precisely in this context that many of us have been able to measure the interdependence that links us to each other and the fundamental value of common Actions in solving conflictual situations.
Now it’s time that these necessary and respectful Actions for the human and the living, co-initiated by international designers and artists and the students of the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs, will be explored, questioned, modulated and shared… ad infinitum!
