SAVE the DATE: 15th September 2021 at 14.00 UTC – DESIS Café hosted by Susan Melsop from the OSU DESIS Lab in the USA!
DESIS Café is a virtual place where DESIS Labs can meet and talk about their activities, expectations, thoughts, research, projects, etc. It’s a place to reinforce connections within the community and exchange knowledge about good practices and difficulties of projects, and actions.
Get to know the hosts of the DESIS café:
Launched in Autumn 2018 as part of OSU Department of Design’s 50th anniversary celebration, the DESIS Lab at Ohio State University has gained momentum), received numerous grants, and developed dynamic community partnerships working synergistically toward social justice, health and environmental stewardship.
This café is an opportunity to share and discuss outcomes of a recent local project called Voices of Franklinton and our ongoing international project in São Paulo, Brazil with PopRua and Mackenzie Presbyterian University. We would also like to present a new research and community outreach project call the Digital Public Participation, which seeks to examine how the use of the Hyve-3D virtual reality system supports public engagement in participatory democracy.
We invite you to join us for this DESIS Café!

Desis Labs around the world are hosting a coffee tour every two months on the 3rd Wednesday. So start saving the date from now on!
We will open our Labs and invite all members to share their activities about social innovation. Our DesisCafé will take place anywhere a Desis Lab is: on a patio, a terrace, a classroom, a kitchen, a beach, or even in the jungle. Who knows?
